What we collect, and why.

We build websites for small businesses. We're not in the data business, and this page is short because there isn't much to say.
What we collect
- What you send us through our forms. Your name, business name, email, phone if you include it, and whatever you write in the message or onboarding questionnaire. We keep it so we can reply to you and, if you become a client, build your site from it.
- Basic visit information. We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they read, and roughly where they come from. This uses cookies and collects things like your browser type and an anonymized IP address. It doesn't tell us who you are.
- Server logs. Like every website, our server records requests (page, time, IP address) for security and troubleshooting. These are cleared automatically.
What we do with it
- Reply to your inquiry and send you the plan you asked for.
- Build and support your website, profiles, and accounts if you hire us.
- Understand how the site is being used so we can improve it.
That's it. We don't sell your information, rent it, or add you to a newsletter. If you fill out a form, you'll get a reply — not a drip campaign.
Who else sees it
- Google, through Google Analytics (visit data) and Google Workspace (our email). Google's own privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy. You can block Analytics with Google's opt-out add-on or your browser's tracking settings.
- Nobody else. Your form submissions are stored on our own server, not a third-party form service.
How long we keep it
Inquiries and onboarding answers stay on file while they're useful to the work we're doing together, or until you ask us to delete them. Email us and we'll remove what we have.
Your choices
- You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@brightawning.com.
- Our forms only ask for what we need to reply. Phone number is optional.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top. We won't quietly start doing something new with your information.
